Hailey Snyder

Hailey is an experienced medical and emergency response professional with a strong background in public health, medical science, and disaster operations. With a didactic education in Physician Assistant Sciences from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health specializing in Emergency Management and Disaster Preparedness from Eastern Illinois University, Hailey has honed her skills in strategic and program planning, policy interpretation, healthcare delivery, health literacy, and multi-disciplinary collaboration. Her expertise also includes data management, incident command, team leadership, and financial management within the healthcare sector.
Throughout her career, Hailey has held key roles in various organizations, showcasing her leadership and problem-solving abilities. As a Testing Operations Project Manager at the CDC Foundation assigned to the Minnesota Department of Health, COVID-19 Bureau, she oversaw state-run testing operations with a focus on vulnerable populations. Additionally, her experience as a Lead Planner and Executive Officer at FEMA, working on the Federal Interagency COVID-19 Response, highlights her commitment to combating the pandemic and ensuring healthcare resilience. Hailey has also served as a Supervisory Emergency Manager at FEMA, demonstrating her dedication and enthusiasm for emergency preparedness and response.
Driven by a passion for helping others and a desire to make a positive impact, Hailey founded Authentically Disastrous, a platform aimed at sharing knowledge, resources, and products to enhance quality of life and promote resilience. Overcoming many adverse childhood events, Hailey is committed to inner healing work related to childhood traumas, breaking toxic generational cycles, and hopefully helping others on similar journeys. Despite facing personal challenges and educational setbacks, with her PA school journey ending abruptly shortly before her expected graduation date, Hailey remains steadfast in her mission to assist underserved populations and connect with others to improve their quality of life and well-being. With a love for creativity, outdoor activities, and travel, Hailey continues to be of service to those in need, embodying a spirit of empowerment and self-discovery in all her endeavors.
Furthermore, Hailey has experience with international medical disaster response through deployments with Team Rubicon and completed a service term with AmeriCorps NCCC FEMACorps. She embraces living Authentically Disasterous and refuses to let her circumstances define or limit her, recognizing that life's trials create new opportunities and obstacles often steer us towards our intended path.
